CULT TV 2007 WEEKENDER - A Festival Beyond Convention!

19-22 October 2007, Heythrop Park Hotel, Enstone, Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, UK

It’s a hard life being a fan of television shows, especially when most event organisers see you as nothing more than a ‘walking wallet’.

Had enough of getting nothing for your money other than a few autographs? Wish you had more time to find out what the stars are really like?

As the commercial companies continue to give you less and less, with costs going up more and more, there really is a better way to show your appreciation.

Cult TV has, for the last 24 years, been a grass roots fan movement, celebrating TV with a cult following from the 1960s right up to today’s cult hits from both sides of the Atlantic. It is run entirely by unpaid volunteers, offering you the best value it can, not for the benefit of shareholders but for the well-being of various charities.

Running across 72 hours, from noon Friday until noon Monday, the 14th Annual Cult TV Weekender brings together interviews with celebrity guests from both sides of the camera, television production workshops, a fun "fanstrand", autograph sessions, memorabilia traders, charity auctions, a star cabaret, themed parties, discussion groups and debates, quizzes and competitions, and the 14th annual international Cult TV Awards. The event is kept to a manageable size by limiting our maximum number of attendees to 500, so you will not feel like you've entered a cattle market!

Celebrating cult fictional television, old and new, from a multitude of genres, the Cult TV Weekender may on the surface look similar to numerous media conventions staged around the country, but we are about far more than just autographs and merchandise. The experience helps you find out more about the various TV series that endure, the shows that people love to see again, and discovering new television treats that to some are previously unheard of. We'll help you take control of your telly, and you'll never have to complain that there's nothing "on the box" ever again!

With celebrity interviews, workshops, quizzes, games, and screenings all running concurrently, at the Cult TV Weekender there is a wider range of activities scheduled over a longer length of time. Run by unpaid volunteers, over the past 13 years Cult TV has raised over £48,000 for various good causes.

The rates for the Weekender itself are:

Adults - 89.00 GBP - but the good news is that if you sign up before 31 March 2007, you can save 10.00 GBP per adult, as the offer price is just 79.00 GBP per adult.

Children aged 10 - 15 years (ages at 22 October 2007) - 44.00 GBP. Again, there is a special offer available until 31 March 2007 - save a fiver as the price is 39.00 GBP per child.

Children under 10 - Free.

Please note that only two children (under 16s) are allowed per adult booking.

Your registration fee includes access to all the Weekender’s events from Noon Friday until Noon Monday – interviews, workshops, quizzes, games, charity auctions, exclusive screenings, merchandise traders hall, 24 hour video rooms, theme parties, the Friday night fun & games, the Saturday Awards Ceremony and the Sunday Star Cabaret. You also get two free autographs from all our celebrity guests (subject to their availability) – one on your event brochure (a souvenir that is also included in your registration fee), and one on something of your own. You also get an extensive ‘pack’ containing all sorts of goodies!

We give you choice and lots of it. Can't sleep? - hit the screening room, the all night bar or buy a late night hot bap!

We're fun! - We aren't po-faced - We enjoy the series we celebrate. Sometimes we get a little crazy, but we never lose respect for our source material!

This year’s venue is a historic stately home with state of the art conference facilities and modern bedrooms and provides excellent value for our attendees. The hotel is situated half-way between London and Birmingham and is a short distance from the M40 motorway.

Prices for evening meal, bed and breakfast start from less than £40.00 per person per night. Full details about the on-site accommodation at our Heythrop Park Hotel venue is available here at this link.

The latest details of the celebrity guests in attendance, along with almost all the other information you will need can be found here in the Weekender section of this website.

If you require additional information email weekender@cult.tv and we will answer any further questions you have.

We've also started our own weekly podcast. This is where to go for the latest TV news, reviews, interviews, as well as the latest information on the Festival Weekender. Find out how to get it at www.CultTVinsider.com.
